West of Seattle on the Olympic Peninsula is the small town of Sequim. (sk-wim) A ferry ride from Edmonds to Kingston, and a drive by Port Gamble will get you to Sequim. Known for its Lavender Festival the third week of July every year, Sequim is a must stop. Cedarbrook Lavender and Herb Farm is the most darling little farm ever. The cafe offers indoor and outdoor seating, while overlooking fields of lavender. Did I mention how amazing it smells? A charming gift shop and a barn filled with second hands, adds just the right touch. They offer over 70 different kinds of Lavender and over 200 different herbs. For more information on the cafe go to http://www.cedarbrookgardencafe.com/.
