The Space Needle, what a sight to see. It just makes the Seattle skyline. For $18.00 you can take an elevator for 41 seconds to the observation deck that is about 52 stories high, to a 360 degree view of Seattle. You can see the Cascade Mountains to the east, the Olympic Mountains to the west, Mount Rainier to the South, and to the north, Queen Anne and the northern suburbs. Along with the mountains you will also see Puget Sound, Lake Washington and Lake Union. There is a wonderful gift shop at the bottom, a free emailed picture of yourself taken before you go to the top, and a revolving restaurant just below the observation deck. Plenty to see, as much time as you would like at the top, and a picture for $18.00 wow what a great value.
Volunteer Park was such a great rainy day find. Just a few minutes outside the downtown Seattle area, this warm, beautiful, wonderland of foliage is a great place to take a stroll. For a $5.00 donation you can walk through and enjoy the variety of plants and flowers.

Uwajimaya is a fantastic Asian market in the International District of Seattle. It is easily accessible and has its own parking lot. ( parking downtown can be challenging) The market has everything from fruit and veggies to dishes and toys… there is shopping for everyone! It even has its own food court, and did I mention how beautiful the store its self is? Dragons and paper fish decorate the celling and walls. Just a walk though is definitely worth it.

Todays adventure is the Seattle Aquarium. For $17.00 you can walk through this indoor / outdoor, family friendly, hands on aquarium right on the water front in downtown Seattle. It is very interactive, not to mention has a great view from the deck, and just steps aways from food and other activities that Seattle has to offer. I highly recommend this for children. Two thumbs up Seattle Aquarium.

Salish Lodge is about 30 miles outside Seattle, and it is right next to Snoqualmie Falls to boot. That makes this is a two for one deal, dinner and entertainment. This gorges water fall is actually taller than Niagara Falls in Canada, and thats pretty impressive. The lodge hosts a wonderful upscale Thanksgiving dinner every year that is to die for. A four corse meal that included bisque, your choice of two salads, potatoes, light vegetables, stuffing, crandberry sauce, and an individual turkey for each table, along with your choice of desert. The surprise at the end of the meal is that they will package up your Turkey for you to take home. (Woohoo, leftovers :)Thanksgiving dinner in the dinning room cost $70.00, and dinner at the buffet cost $65.00. The atmosphere at the lodge is wonderful, people reading, warming themselves by the fire, and even enjoying time in the Library. In the evening the outside has just as much character as the inside does. A nice walk over a quaint bridge with a stunning view of the lodge, will take your breath away. Two thumbs up for a wonderful Thanksgiving.
