• Alive in Seattle

This site is for new transplants, or ole Seattleites. Its filled with: Things to do, Places to go, and People to see, (in my opinion of course) in and around the Seattle area. I will try to provide actual facts and as many images as possible.

Now, let me tell you a little something about me. I'm new to the area, which make me perfect for this site. I will capture my latest adventures in and around Seattle and share what I find with you, this way you can go out and see them too. Ok, so somethings you may have already seen, but please don't rain on my parade-because I haven't.

    Thank You,
    Your latest transplant!!!

Miracle on 35th St?

Today we stumbled upon the 35th st. Bistro in Fremont. It was late Saturday  morning, with no wait, and fantastic atmosphere….what a find!!! For about $10.00 you can order the most impressive plate of French Toast I’ve ever had.  To quoted ” 20 years from now, Ill remember that French Toast!” This Bistro is right in the middle of shopping and just too cute to pass up. Two thumbs way up, an absolute must!!!

The good kind of Frost

Frost Doughnuts is located about 30 minutes Northeast of downtown Seattle. For about $7.99 you can get a half dozen of these gourmet doughnuts, that are to die for. They even put Bacon on some of them-yes Bacon. Any doughnut lover will love the opportunity to dive into a Bacon Maple Bar. Two thumbs Frost.

A Red Mill Burger

YUMMM in word!  Red Mill Burgers located near Green Lake, just north of downtown Seattle. This is an all American burger joint. For about $10.00- $12.00 2 people can get a huge Red Mill Burger that is loaded with the works. Don’t forget to top it off with fries or delicious onion rings. However, you better get there early, there could be a line out the door, and seating is limited.  The music is a delight, and this is fun stop after a long day in Seattle.

A Birds Eye View of Seattle

What a way to see Seattle…from the air. Kenmore Air offers a sea plane tour over Seattle that take off out of Lake Union. ( Lake Union is our “FUN”  lake) This is a great way to see the Space Needle up close and personal, both of Seattle’s floating bridges over Lake Washington, Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, and everything and anything that comes into view. Your tour is about 20-30 minutes long, in a plane that holds about 8 people, with a smooth takeoff and landing right on the water. The cost is $89.00 a person, for views that will take your breath away.
