• Alive in Seattle

This site is for new transplants, or ole Seattleites. Its filled with: Things to do, Places to go, and People to see, (in my opinion of course) in and around the Seattle area. I will try to provide actual facts and as many images as possible.

Now, let me tell you a little something about me. I'm new to the area, which make me perfect for this site. I will capture my latest adventures in and around Seattle and share what I find with you, this way you can go out and see them too. Ok, so somethings you may have already seen, but please don't rain on my parade-because I haven't.

    Thank You,
    Your latest transplant!!!

The Museum of Flight

There are two Boeing Museums in the Seattle area. The one to the north is where they put together air planes, and the one to the south is a hands on museum where you can touch and tour actual air planes. The Museum of Flight (located in Renton) has a Concord, a NASA plane, and an older Air Force One that you can actually walk through. If you are a history buff, this is the place to be. To get the opportunity to walk through the airplane that JFK flew on, and stroll down the isle of the fastest commercial plane that is no longer being made-is very surreal. This family friendly, indoor, outdoor, museum has something for everyone. Take the afternoon and walk though our past, enjoy everything The Museum of Flight has to offer. Pacific Northwest BBQ

Rooters is located in Black Diamond, WA on the way to Sunrise at Mt Rainier. Its a great little BBQ place with charm and decor to match. I found myself just taken by the Northwestern mix of awesome photography and the rustic outdoors. Dinner was a good mix of brisket, baked beans and homemade coleslaw.  For around $10.00 you can enjoy just about anything on the menu. This will now be a regular stop on the way to Sunrise!!!!

Poulsbo, WA

What a great opportunity to live so close to this charming little fishing town. Poulsbo, WA is a joyful hour and a half from Downtown Seattle that includes a great ferry ride too. Its great little shops, and mom and pop restaurants just add the perfect amount of interest. This dog friendly community even puts food and water dishes out in front of most establishments for our furry little friends. Nestled on the waterfront, Poulsbo has something for everyone.View full post »

The North Bend Bar and Grill

The North Bend Bar and Grill is located in North Bend Washington. North Bend is most known for Its views of the Twin Peak Mountains (from the older TV show Twin Peaks) and Mount Si. Its is located about twenty minutes east of Seattle off of I90. This great little Bar and Grill will knock you off your socks. Meals are moderately priced (8.00 and up) and the food is delicious. Did I mention the view from the outdoor patio on the front of the building is of Mt Si? Clean, fun, a great atmosphere, and goof food, what more could you want.
